Happy New Year!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Years!

It's been a while since I've posted, but that only means I've been busy, right? We stayed home for Christmas this year, and had friends over for dinner. It was so nice actually having room in our new house to have a couple families over! There were 9 little kids running (and crawling) around, and the house was full of giggles and then tears as little ones got sleepy :)

We also got some pictures, mirrors and a clock hung up on our walls over the break. And got the butcher block for the kitchen island trimmed and oiled! Our kitchen is so close to being done, and I can't wait to show you all the before and after when it is!

I also made some gifts this year for family and friends. Such an easy and inexpensive gift, that can be personalized to what each specific person likes! Here are a couple of them:

This "O Come Let Us Adore Him" is just printed on heavy cardstock, with white lettering on a black background. It's trimmed, and then glued using spray adhesive onto a 7x7 piece of wood that's about an inch thick and painted black. So easy!! This is a picture from the recipient of where she placed it!

This one, I forgot to take a good picture of it, sorry! It was printed on an 11x17 piece of cardstock and then trimmed down to 9x9. We have a local UPS store that does printing fairly inexpensively, but found that their "new" printer was eco-friendly, and it didn't print a very dark black, which didn't match the black painted wood, so my husband had to print these for me at work. We have another print shop in town that I may try next time!

We've been spending the New Year staying warm in this frigid weather. Snuggling on the couch and watching movies.

Playing with toys.

And, doing some testing for new products!!

If you haven't heard of Expo before, you can sign up, start doing video reviews of products you have, and then you'll start getting surveys to screen you for new products! If you're picked, they'll send you the product, and after you've used it for a while, you create a video review of it, upload it, and you're done and get to keep the product! I've been a member for 2 years now, and some of the things we've received to test (and KEEP!) are: Huggies diapers, a Baby K'tan carrier, a Phillips Norelco wet/dry razor, Downy fabric softener and Unstoppables, an HP Envy Rove 21" mobile pc (that thing is awesome!! and, it currently retails for $1,000!!), Dr. Scholl's inserts, cleaning wipes, Kleenex pouches, and more!!

So, if you're not a member, click this link and start reviewing!! It's a fun, easy way to test new products!! Oh, and you get points for taking the screeners, by submitting video reviews and such, and you can redeem those for gift cards, too! We've earned about $60 in gift cards on top of all the free products!
